- This is an improved Loganberrry and its much juicier, larger - lobed fruit
than the black berry. Method of growing is similar to black berry except
the new canes tend to run along the ground and must be tied up after the
fruiting canes are finished. Thornless and very large, ripens over a long
period of time. Zones 5-9. Fruit yield: 4-8 qts per vine. |

Dewberry
- Much like the blackberry except the canes are more procumbent and are
easier to work on fence. Plants tend to run on ground. Pruning and training
are the same as blackberries. Fruit yields: 2-4 qts. Per vine. Zones 5-10. |
 |
Gooseberries
- Light green berries turn pink when ripe. The fruit is juicy, somewhat
tart if not fully ripe and is best used for preserves and pies. The bush
has an ornamental value with its glossy green leaves that turn purple in
the Fall. Bush grows 4-6' tall and can be used as a hedge. Ripens late May
to early July. |
