Muscadines Are Our Specialty!

Plant in well-drained, fertile, soil. They require full sun. PH level should be 6.0-6.5. Plant 20’ apart in 10’ rows for commercial use and 15’ apart 10’ rows for home use. Put on trellis constructed of 6-1/2’ post set 2’ in ground. Use #9 galvanized wire.

Never use manure of any kind around young plants. Sawdust, cottonseed mote or peat moss may either slow down growth, damage or kill the plants. Never put commercial fertilizer in hole around roots. Wait until April 1 before fertilizing.

First two years of growth clean cultivation is necessary so that the growth will be vigorous. Fruit yield: Female -60 lbs. per vine. Self-fertile - 80 lbs. per vine. Bears in 2-3 years. (Note: Additional instructions will come with order.) Zones 7-10.
