It
is important to remember that Muscadines are either female or
self-fertile. Self-fertile vines will bear fruit if planted
alone. Female vines must be planted within 50 feet of a self-fertile
Muscadine in order to bear fruit. One self-fertile Muscadine
will pollinate up to 3 females vines. It does not matter what
color you pollinate with, they will all stay true to what they
are. All Muscadines bloom at the same time even though they
may bear fruit at different times. Zones 7-10.
