The Hachiya Persimmon has Fruit that is a heart-shaped cone with deep orange-red skin and orange flesh. Large fruit.  Sweet, even when crisp and firm.  It usually softens off the tree.
Excellent quality of fruit.  Vigorous tree develops an upright, spreading form.  Beautiful dark green leaves that turn a rainbow of colors in the fall, from deep reds and oranges to purple.

It is astringent until fully ripe.  Great for fresh use or as a puree in baking and cooking

Chill Hours:  100-200.  Zones 6-10 .
