Product Description

The Blue Damson Plum is a heirloom variety and is also one of the most popular old plums in America.  The fruit is more oblong then round and has a shiny, very dark purple to black skin.  The flesh is an amber color and is very tasty with a little spicy flavor to it.  You will also notice a little tart flavor.  These plums are prized for cooking  jam, jellies and chutney.  Fruit also make great wine and is good fresh eating.  They taste better when fully ripe.

Blue Damson grows 12-15′ tall and is self-fertile.  Planting with another variety will increase your fruit yields.
