Product Description

The Mahan pecan is a large, slender and thin shelled nut about 2 1/2″ long.  It usually produces about 35 nuts per pound.  The kernels are richly flavored and of very high quality.  The trees grows very fast and is a much earlier producing pecan than most other pecan trees.  The nuts mature late in the season.

The trees range in size from 70 to 150 feet in height with dark green foliage and a spreading canopy. Although Mahan self-pollinates, the tree produces more crops when cross-pollinated with another pecan cultivar.

Pecan trees require cross-pollination to bare nuts. You will need 2 different varieties.
