The Lomanto Bunch Grape is a black seeded wine variety perfect for Southern gardens.  This variety is very resistant to Pierce’s disease, mildew and rot.  The fruit produces in large cone shaped clusters of sweet, soft and juicy fruit with very few small seeds.  This variety makes an excellent red wine and is used by many wineries throughout Georgia.  Lomanto usually flowers late April and begins ripening in July.  This variety is truly an ideal wine variety sure to please the home gardener and novice wine maker.
