Upright blackberry plants should be planted 3-5′ apart in full sun. They like a pH of 6.0 to 6.5.
The crown (origin of root mass) should be planted no more than 1/2″ below ground level. Water thoroughly and mulch.
Trailing varieties need to be planted 8-10′ apart and trellised.
Bears in 2 years. Fruit yield: 2-4 quarts per plant.
Ripens in June and July.
