The Goobler Sawtooth Oak is one of the best wildlife trees you can plant for attracting deer, turkeys, squirrels, and other game. This fast-growing oak is known for producing heavy crops of acorns at a young age—often much earlier than many native oak varieties. Its dependable annual production makes it an excellent choice for wildlife food plots, hunting properties, and large landscapes.
The sweet acorns are highly attractive to deer, wild turkeys, squirrels, black bears, and many other wildlife species. Acorns typically ripen in early fall, providing an important food source when wildlife is actively preparing for winter.
In addition to its outstanding wildlife value, the Goobler Sawtooth Oak develops into a beautiful shade tree with a broad, rounded canopy and attractive dark green foliage that turns golden-brown in autumn. It is adaptable to a wide range of soils, drought tolerant once established, and easy to grow in full sun.
