Enjoy the beauty and productivity of a mature apple tree sooner with our Instant Orchard™ Arkansas Black Apple Tree. These premium oversized trees are much larger than standard nursery stock, helping you establish a productive orchard faster and reduce the wait for your first harvest.

The Arkansas Black is a favorite heirloom variety prized for its striking appearance, outstanding keeping quality, and rich, sweet flavor. Medium-sized fruit develops an exceptionally dark red skin that becomes almost black as it ripens. The firm, crisp, white flesh is juicy with a well-balanced sweetness that continues to improve after harvest. Arkansas Black is excellent for fresh eating, cider, and juice, and stores exceptionally well for months under proper conditions.

This hardy, vigorous tree is a dependable heavy producer and also serves as an excellent pollinator for many other apple varieties. It offers good resistance to cedar apple rust, making it a reliable choice for many home orchards. Fruit ripens from October through November.

Our Instant Orchard™ trees feature a ¾”–1″ trunk caliper and are typically 6–7 feet tall at the time of shipping. By planting a larger tree, you’re investing in time—bringing your orchard to fruit-bearing age sooner and enjoying delicious homegrown apples years earlier than with standard-sized trees.
