Au Producer is another great variety cultivated by Auburn University.  the AU Producer is a high-yield, disease-resistant Japanese plum cultivar.   This variety is early ripening and produces high fruit yield.   The  plum produces medium to large-sized, sweet, and firm fruits that is  a rich and vibrant red color.  It grows  moderately vigorous and features a compact growth habit, making it ideal for both home orchards and commercial production. The AU Producer is a self-pollinating variety, meaning it can bear fruit without the need for cross-pollination, although planting other plum varieties nearby can enhance yields.

Plant in full sun and well-drained soil with a pH pH 6.0–7.0 .   This variety has shown excellent resistance to common plum diseases such as black knot and bacterial canker, making it easier to maintain and care for.
