The Dapple Dandy Pluot fruit is known in stores as “Dinosaur Egg®,”.  This large,  firm Dapple Dandy Pluot® has a distinctive skin color that has marbled pink and green skin over white flesh with red mottling.  The Dapple Dandy fruit is sweet and tart and have a delicious crisp, refreshing taste.  Kids love to eat them due to the great flavor and distinctive coloration.  Dapple Dandy matures in late July with a spicy, plum-apricot flavor and a good acid to sugar balance. The very productive, spreading tree is pollenized by Flavor Queen Pluot®,  Santa Rosa plum or Burgundy plum.
