The Dolgo Crabapple is a favorite for many due to it producing early and also being a heavy producer. This crabapple is also resistant to fire blight and apple scab which definitely makes it a winner for home growers.
Beautiful blooms begin in April producing pinkish buds that will soon open into beautiful burst of fragrant self-pollinating flowers. These blooms will last for weeks and be enjoyed by everyone. This long blooming season overlaps many other varieties and is the reason this crabapple is used in many apple orchards. Ideal for planting on property lines.
In late Fall, you be enjoying consistent ornamental fruit that hangs on the tree. These crabapples make excellent jelly and provides a great resource for songbirds and wildlife.
