Instant Orchard Santa Rosa Plum Tree

Enjoy delicious homegrown plums sooner with our Instant Orchard Santa Rosa Plum Tree. These premium oversized trees are much larger than standard nursery stock, allowing you to establish a productive orchard faster and begin harvesting exceptional fruit years earlier.

Santa Rosa is one of the finest and most widely planted Japanese plum varieties. It produces very large fruit with beautiful purplish-red skin covered by a soft blue bloom. The firm flesh is yellow, blending to deep red near the skin, and offers a rich, sweet-tart flavor that has made Santa Rosa a favorite for generations. The fruit is excellent for fresh eating, baking, jams, jellies, preserves, and desserts.

A vigorous, dependable producer, Santa Rosa is self-fertile and ripens in mid-June, providing an early harvest of premium-quality plums. While it will produce fruit on its own, planting another Japanese plum variety nearby can increase yields.

Our Instant Orchard™ trees feature a 3/4″ – 1″ trunk caliper and are typically 6–7 feet tall at the time of shipping. While fruit production is not guaranteed the first year after planting, many trees will produce early. By planting a larger tree, you’re investing in time—bringing your orchard to fruit-bearing age sooner and enjoying delicious homegrown plums earlier than with standard-sized trees.

Mature Size: 15–20 ft. tall (with pruning)
Ripens: Mid-June
Pollination: Self-fertile (planting another Japanese plum variety will increase fruit production).
