The Eureka Persimmon Tree is an astringent, heavy producing, high quality persimmon.  Medium to large sized about the size of a tea cup.  The tree is relatively small and self-fruitful. Eureka has proven to be a great commercial variety. Fruit is bright orange.  They begin to ripen in October and continue late in December. Flesh is astringent and must be eaten when fully ripe.  Tree is semi-dwarf.

It will grow to be a 10 to 15 foot tree. The tree produces an abundance of fruit which must be eaten when soft.

Self-fruitful.  Plant in full sun in well drained soil.

Hardy in zones 8-10.
