The Late Fry muscadine variety is another late season grape that is bronze and self-fertile. It produces delicious fruit that contains 20% sugar. The muscadine fruit is large in size and is very vigorous with high yields. This muscadine variety has a slightly improved flavor over Granny Val but does not produces in as large of clusters as the Granny Val.

This vine is very cold hardy with delicious edible skin. The Late Fry muscadine ripens in late season. In areas where you get an early frost, this muscadine variety may not be ideal. You may not be able to benefit from all the fruit it produces due to the frost. This variety was developed at Ison’s Nursery. Patent Protected #9224.

Adding BLUE-X Plant Shelters to your muscadine vines. BLUE-X Grapevine Shelters  create a beneficial microclimate for each grapevine. The increased humidity and carbon dioxide levels in the growtubes accelerate plant growth and enhance vine survival. This will increase vine growth up to 150% the first year and will increase fruit yields your first harvest season. As an added benefit they protect young vines from rodents, rabbits and other herbivores.

We offer the only shelter on the market today that takes advantage of beneficial blue light!
It’s a small cost but offers a big reward for your vineyard.
