Ozark Premier Plum Tree
The Ozark Premier Plum Tree is an outstanding variety that produces exceptionally large, high-quality Japanese plums with outstanding flavor. A cross between the popular Burbank and Methley plums, this variety combines the best qualities of both parents to produce one of the finest tasting plums you can grow.
The beautiful fruit features golden-yellow flesh that is juicy, firm, and pleasantly tart with just the right balance of sweetness. Its semi-freestone characteristic makes it easy to enjoy fresh while also making it an excellent choice for baking, canning, jams, jellies, and preserves.
Ripening in mid to late summer, Ozark Premier extends your harvest season with an abundant crop of large, attractive fruit. This variety is also heat tolerant, making it an excellent choice for Southern orchards and home gardens.
Introduced by the Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station in 1946, the Ozark Premier has earned a reputation as one of the best-tasting plum varieties available. For best fruit production, plant with another plum variety for cross-pollination.
