Double Gold gets its name from its ability to produce two harvests each season, giving you fresh raspberries over an extended period. During the first year, the current season’s canes produce a fall crop on their tips. The following summer, those same canes produce a second crop lower on the cane before new growth begins another fall harvest.

The large, sweet berries are perfect for fresh eating, desserts, jams, jellies, freezing, and baking. Their unique color also makes them a beautiful addition to fruit trays and garden landscapes.

Double Gold is vigorous, productive, and easy to grow, making it an excellent choice for home gardeners who want an extended raspberry harvest with outstanding flavor.

  • Harvest: Floricane crop in July and primocane crop from mid-September until frost
  • Pollination: Self-fertile
  • Fruit Color: Champagne-gold with a rosy blush
  • Flavor: Exceptionally sweet and rich
  • Uses: Fresh eating, preserves, desserts, and freezing
  • Hardiness Zones: 5–8
  • Plant Size: 2-year-old plants

Enjoy two delicious harvests each year with one of the sweetest and most unique raspberries you can grow!

Note: Do not plant Red, Gold or Purple raspberries within 75-100 feet of Black raspberries. Black raspberries may be more susceptible to viral diseases carried by aphids to and from nearby raspberry plants.
