Product Description
Raspberry plants generally ship from December – April.
The Double Gold Raspberry plant is a unique deeply blushed, champagne-colored fruit with a distinctive conical shape. It gets the name from the fact that it produces two harvests per season. The first year of planting, Double Gold will produce its first crop in the fall on the tips of the current year’s cane. A second crop will develop further down those same canes the following summer. Floricane berries ripen in July and primocane berries ripen in mid September through frost. Self-Pollinating.
In many taste tests Double Gold raspberry plant has won out the competition in fruit flavor and and sweetness. The berries are sweet and beautiful and perfect for home gardeners. Zones: 5-8.
Note: Do not plant Red, Gold or Purple raspberries within 75-100 feet of Black raspberries. Black raspberries may be more susceptible to viral diseases carried by aphids to and from nearby raspberry plants.
