This hardy perennial vegetable is a delight in many dishes. Grown for the stems or spears, a well-tended plant can produce 8-10 pounds per 100 square foot.  A planting can last 15-20 years.  Ours are 1 year old plants or “crowns”. Plant in winter.

The Purple Passion asparagus is sweet and mild, with 20% more natural sugar. Purple or burgundy asparagus has sweeter stalks than green asparagus! These vitamin-rich spears are so tender, you can eat them right out of your garden.  The stalks of purple asparagus turn green when cooked. Purple Passion Asparagus is cold hardy and heat-tolerant.

Harvest asparagus plants from early April through mid-May.

Sold in bundles of 10.
