Camarosa Strawberry Plugs
Planting strawberry plugs is the best way to enjoy the sweetest, largest strawberries from your own garden. Plant in the fall, and by spring you’ll be harvesting beautiful, juicy berries right from your backyard. Whether you’re making homemade strawberry pie, topping a favorite pound cake, or simply enjoying fresh-picked berries, nothing compares to the flavor of homegrown strawberries.
Camarosa is one of the most widely grown strawberry varieties for good reason. It is known for producing heavy yields of exceptionally large, attractive berries with outstanding flavor. The fruit is firm, bright red, and holds up well after harvest, making it perfect for fresh eating, freezing, preserves, and baking.
One of the earliest varieties to produce, Camarosa begins bearing before Chandler and Sweet Charlie, giving you an earlier start to strawberry season. Plants are vigorous, productive, and adapt well to a variety of growing conditions. They thrive in traditional garden beds, raised beds, and containers, making them an excellent choice for both backyard gardeners and small-scale growers.
For best results, plant in a sunny location with well-drained soil. Plants typically grow 6 to 12 inches tall and wide and will reward you with an abundance of delicious berries the following spring.
If you’re looking for an early-producing strawberry with large fruit, excellent flavor, and dependable yields, Camarosa is an outstanding choice for your garden.
Harvest Season: Early spring through late spring, depending on your growing zone.
Uses: Fresh eating, freezing, jams, preserves, desserts, and baking.
