Apple trees are the perfect accessory for any landscape. The Anna apple tree is one that is made for the Deep South. Anna apples are large and have light green-yellow skin with a slight red blush. Sweet apples from southern apple trees are slightly tart and crisp with creamy white flesh. They store very well and are ideal for pies, applesauce and, of course, fresh eating! These apple trees are an extremely young bearer. It is best to pollinate this tree with a Dorsett apple tree. The Anna apple tree ripens in late June.
