Allen Black Raspberry is a great variety that produces very large crops each year.  The fruit has a delicious flavor that is firm and very juicy.  This variety is a cross between Bristol and Cumberland Black. This combination produced a very high quality berry that is extremely cold hardy and very very sweet.  It ripens in July.

Note: Do not plant Red, Gold or Purple raspberries within 75-100 feet of Black raspberries. Black raspberries may be more susceptible to viral diseases carried by aphids to and from nearby raspberry plants.
