The Marquette Bunch Grape is a new addition this season. Marquette is rapidly becoming one of the most popular grape varieties. Typically maturing with a high sugar content and moderate acidity, Marquette can produce complex wines with attractive ruby color and pronounced tannins, often with notes of cherry, berry, black pepper, and spice.
It is known as a disease resistant red grape variety that produces medium-bodied, dry, red wine and is suitable for extended maturation in oak barrels. Over time, it has become one of the most popular grapes adapted to cold climates.
The grapes are blue-black and gorgeous on the vines, which have a semi-upright habit and medium vigor. Developed by the University of Minnesota and introduced in 2006.
Ripens early-to-mid September.
Zones: 4-8 2 year old plants.
