The Tilton Apricot tree ripens from lake June to early July and requires 600-700 chill hours to produce(3.5 to 4.5 weeks of temperatures below 45 degrees F.) This apricot tree is self pollinating and is resistant to late frost. The bright yellow color of the Tilton apricot is retained even in dried apricots that can be eaten during the Winter.
