The Rainier Cherry Tree is known as the “white cherry” because it produces cherries that have a white creamy flesh.  This is a very in demand cherry due to its unique color and taste.  The skin is yellowish red blush once it ripens.  Birds are not as much of a problem with Rainier due to the color and being less attracted to the berries.  Rainier cherry is one of the sweetest cherries and can be enjoyed as a dessert all by themselves.  Rainier is a perfect variety for backyard orchards.  Can be used for baking as well as canning and freezing.

Ripens end of May to early June.

Fully mature cherry trees grow to about 18-25′ tall and wide. Cherry trees make excellent shade trees as well as providing delicious fruit.

NOTE:  Rainier Cherry is a self-fertile but will produce more fruit when planting with a different sweet cherry variety.

Zones 5-9       Chill Hours: 700

These trees have a 3/4″ Caliper and many are approximately 5-6′ tall. The trees are not guaranteed to fruit the year of planting although many will. By ordering larger trees you in essence are buying time. You will shorten the amount of time it takes for your trees to reach fruit bearing age and enjoy the benefit of harvesting fruit sooner.

We do not ship fruit trees to California.
